LFW Inspired Makeup

As everyone knows it was London Fashion Week not long ago and it has been ALL over social media! I have been totally loving all the images I have come across and getting so inspired by all the gorgeous trends, that I thought I would have some fun with Makeup and take the main colour from the outfits and interpret it into makeup looks.

(Disclaimer: This photo is from social media and is in no way my own.)

The first look I tried was the photo on the left, my aim for this makeup look was a contoured face with a bright yet sleek eye. I love the colour contrast in this outfit so much, so of course I used a coral/orange lip to bring it all together.

I recreated this look by using the following products:
Mac Strobe Cream
Kiko Eye Potion
Dior Star Foundation, shade 020
Mac Pro Longwear Concealer, Shade NW20
LA Girl Pro Conceal, Beautiful Bronze
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, Fair/Neutral
Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder
Mac Give Me Sun
ABH Illuminator, So Hollywood
Sleek Brow Kit, Dark
Mac Soft Ochre
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, White Chocolate & Salted Caramel
Barry M Bold White Waterproof Eyeliner
Kiko Long Lasting Stick, 31
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
Barry M Lipstick

The second look I created was the middle photo, as this outfit doesn't have as many bright colours I decided to do a much more natural and pink toned makeup look with a dewy finish.

I recreated this look by using the following products:
Mac Strobe Cream
Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr, 200 Soft Beige
Mac Pro Longwear Concealer, Shade NW20
Mac Blush, Pinch Me
Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder, Highlight 01
Mac Eyebrow Pencil, Spiked
Naked 3 Palette, Strange & Limit & Nooner & Buzz
Maybelline Lash Sensational
Mac Lipliner, Soar
Kiko Lipstick, 613

The final look I recreated was of course the photo on the right. The green and gold tones in this dress inspired me to a makeup look which mainly focus' on the eyes. I'm so happy with how this turned out, the green/gold just gives a really radiant glow to the whole face!

I recreated this look by using the following products:
Mac Strobe Cream
Kiko Eye Potion
Nars Sheer Glow, Medium 1
Nars Super Orgasm Illuminator
Mac Pro Longwear Concealer, NC15
LA Girl Concealer, Beautiful Bronze
Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel
Mac Superb Highlighter
Soap and Glory Archery
Maybelline Brow Gel, Medium Brown
Mac Soft Ochre
Sleek, Garden of Eden Palette
Illamasqua Liquid Metal Electrum
Yves Rocher Green Eyeliner
Maybelline Lash Sensational
Mac Lipliner, Soar
Mac Matte Lipstick, Pink Plaid

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Review

If you haven't got this palette already, you NEED it. It retails at £35 but its worth every penny!

The colours in this palette are absolutely stunning, very pigmented and literally smell of cocoa. Lets face it, everyones a sucker for cocoa. Before I owned this palette I stuck to the Urban Decay Naked Palettes which everyone loves but I just found that I was always reaching for more than one palette to get all the colours I needed, this palette however has a bit of everything from perfect transition shades to the deepest smokey shade which is perfect for travelling. The only thing this palette doesn't have is grey tones but that didn't phase me as I don't tend to wear those anyway!

From left to right these shades are:
Gilded Ganache, White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Black Forest Truffle, Triple Fudge

Gilded Ganache is one of my least favourite colours. Its an olive brown with a gold shimmer to it and looks absolutely gorgeous in the palette, however when I actually tried this shade on my eyes I just found it a little disappointing as it crumbles and isn't as pigmented as I'd hoped.

White Chocolate I literally use every single day without fail. Its the perfect base colour for any eyeshadow look and alongside Mac's Soft Ochre paint pot it is a match made in heaven. Its just a very  pale nude which works really well at covering any veins on the eyelids.

Milk Chocolate is literally as its named, its a medium brown matte shade which is lush for a natural smoky eye!

Black Forest Truffle is gorgeous. Its a deep plum with a gold shimmer perfect for autumn time!

Triple Fudge is the only shade I haven't used yet! Its a very deep grey toned brown with a matte finish.

From left to right these shades are:
Salted Caramel, Marzipan, Semi-Sweet, Strawberry Bon Bon, Candied Violet, Amaretto

Salted Caramel is a coral toned nude with a matte finish.

Marzipan is my favourite colour in the palette. Its just so pretty!! Its a pink toned highlighting shade and it goes well with any other shadows in the palette or looks just as good on its own.

Semi-Sweet is a great crease colour! Its a slightly deeper brown than milk chocolate and its also a matte finish.

Strawberry Bon Bon is a very very pale pink with a matte finish.

Candied Violet is the only other shade I wasn't that impressed with! Again in the palette it is stunning, its just a little tricky to make it look this good on the eyelid. Its a dark purple eyeshadow with a lighter purple shimmer in it.

Amaretto is stuuuuunnning. A gorgeous Copper shimmer which is also perfect for autumn. IN LOVE.

From left to right these shades are:
Hazelnut, Creme Brûlée, Haute Chocolate, Cherry Cordial, Champagne Truffle

Just look how stunning this bottom row of eyeshadows are!

Hazelnut is slightly similar to semi-sweet however it has much more of a shimmer in it.

Creme Brûlée is a very warm toned golden eyeshadow, definitely one of my favourites in the palette.

Haute Chocolate is again another shimmer finish, however its quite a bit deeper than hazelnut.

Cherry Cordial is a stunning plum shimmer.

Champagne Truffle is the nicest highlighting eyeshadow I have ever used, it looks so stunning on the brow bone. You can also use this one as a highlighter for the face.

My Top 10 Holy Grail Beauty Products

Here are a few of my all time favourite products, if it weren't for them my skin would be dull and gross. They're honestly life saviours!

Starting with skincare;

One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with Orange Extract, £20.50 -
Growing up I never used to exfoliate my skin and I would always experience random break outs and now I know why! The granules in this exfoliator are so fine that you can use it as much or as little as you like, you could literally use it everyday if you wanted to and it wouldn't harm your skin at all. Not only does it leave my skin feeling super soft but trust me when I tell you it smells incredible!

Vichy Purete Thermale 3-in-1 Calming Micellar Cleansing Solution, £11 -
This micellar water is so gentle yet its incredibly effective at removing makeup and all the dirt on my face at the end of the day, I literally use this product every morning and night and if you're like me with about 20 minutes to get ready in the morning I think I might have just found you your new best friend!

Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Makeup Remover, £9 -
This is hands down the BEST eye makeup remover I've ever tried! Its a combination of an oil/water solution and all you have to do is shake it a little, pop it on a cotton pad and you can say goodbye to panda eyes!

Clarins HydraQuench Lotion SPF 15, £35 -
I've tried ALOT of moisturisers in the past and this is 100% my favourite. I'm lucky not to get too many breakouts anymore, touch wood, so my main concern is the hydration level of my skin and since I've started using this lotion my skin doesn't look as dull and boring as it used to. I wouldn't recommend using this product at night time purely because it has an SPF but other than that its amazing for using in the morning!

Vichy Normaderm Night Detox, £15 -
I use this cream/serum every single night without fail! I don't suffer from many breakouts and i'm pretty sure this little thing is why. Have you noticed you normally wake up with a new spot rather than getting one throughout the day? thats because your sebum is mostly produced over night and thats why I love this night detox. When I wake up my pores are smaller and I rarely wake up with a blemish! If you're skin is blemish prone, give this product a go and you can thank me later!

Onto makeup;

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, £9.99 -
I live in this foundation! Whether I'm just popping to town or going on a night out this is the foundation I ALWAYS reach for. It gives your skin such a radiant glow, gives the best coverage and blends so well! Its a MUST.

Mac Pro Long Wear Concealer, £17.50 -
A lot of beauty bloggers go on and on about this concealer and how amazing it is and I 110% agree with them. It's amazing coverage for under eyes, it doesn't crease and it lasts such a long time! I can't stress to you enough how much I am in love with this product. FAVE FAVE FAVE.

Mac Lipstick, Pink Plaid, Matte Finish, £15.50 -
This was the first Mac lipstick I ever purchased and it will always be my favourite. Its the perfect pink and goes with so many skin tones! As it's a matte finish it lasts a very long time on the lips however its always in my bag just in case! Nearly every time I wear this lipstick I get asked 'what colour is that on your lips? its beautiful'.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, £19 -
Every single time I wear this mascara i'm asked which mascara I'm wearing and I couldn't live without it! The hourglass shape brush makes sure every individual lash is covered giving a full coverage finish. Theres no need for fake eyelashes when you're wearing this mascara, it literally does the job for you!

Sleek MakeUp Brow Kit, £8.49 -
Last but definitely not least, this sleek eyebrow palette has changed my life! It comes with 2 small brushes for the product and then a small pair of tweezers which is perfect for travelling. It may not look like theres much product in the packaging however this product lasts a VERY long time, I have had mine at least 8 months and I haven't hit the bottom yet. Brows are a huge obsession at the minutes and if you want perfect brows I would definitely recommend this product.
